Welcome, Waters (the band)

Port O’Brien is back! Well, not really, but founder Van Pierszalowski has started a new project, Waters. The band has just released their first single, For the One. I am pretty intrigued by what we may see from Waters. Port O’Brien has been inactive for a couple of years now but I still find myself listening to their CD’s at least once a week. For the One has a unique sound but you can definitely hear Pierszalowski’s inspiration from Port O’Brien mixing in on the new track. Take a look here for more info and a free download.

There are two of my favorite Port O’Brien tracks from their earlier CD’s. Every indie music enthusiast should have a place in their heart for this band. Hopefully Waters can pick up right where Port O’Brien left off. Be on the look out for the new album sometime this fall.
